St George's School through its Student Affairs Department organised a Leadership Camp for all the prefects of Year Six through Year 11 at the Holiday Lodge Hotel, Jerudong on July 30 and 31.
The theme "Youth Today Leaders of Tomorrow" clearly reflected the objectives of the camp, which was mainly to groom the prefects to instil self-motivation, discipline and confidence, as well as to enhance strong leadership skills.
The camp saw various intensive trainings and activities such as leadership skills, teamwork, character building, communication, as well as decision-making skills.
Bishop, Cornelius Sim, delivered a compact yet dynamic session with the participants. He wished to see the participants put into practice all the skills and knowledge that they gained from the camp.
Another speaker, Madam Carol Kok Suit Fan shared her expertise in "teamwork" with the participants, which saw a couple of interesting teamwork activities being carried out. At the end of the camp, participants were presented with participation certificates by the Principal, Mr Song Kin Fha.
It is hoped that such a camp would benefit and enhance the right attitude, confidence and appropriate leadership skills in the participants, as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
