Saturday 21 April 2012 saw St. Georgians gathered at Padang Kebajikan Stadium, Berakas, for their 23rd Annual Secondary Sports Meet.
The chief guest who graced the meet was Dayang Hajah Nooradinawati binti Haji Zakaria, Education Officer, Private Education Section, Department of Schools, Ministry of Education, Negara Brunei Darussalam. Also present were Cikgu Nuramizah binti Anuar, Education Officer, Private Education Section, the honourable Bishop Cornelius Sim, President of the Board of Governors, St. George's School, the Chairman of St. George's School, Mr Anthony Liew and spouse, members of Board of Governors, Mr Charles Shim and Mr Vincent Mah, the school Principal - Mr Song Kin Fha, Deputy Principal - Mr Mubarak, Head of Secondary - Mdm Chew Lai Kwan, staff and teachers.
Despite the grueling heat from the sun, the students valiantly marched past the guest of honour and sang the national anthem with zest. Spirits were high as the oath of Sportsmanship was taken by Brandon James Nambiar, the Overall Best Athlete (Boys). The events were started with athletes running their best races.
Prizes were given to winning athletes by the guest of honour and other invited guests. Yellow House eventually emerged as the Overall Champion House 2012. Sports houses were also awarded for best team spirit, champion house parade, tug-of-war champion house and overall best athletes for both boys and girls categories.
Team spirit, comradeship and a great sense of pride for the school were prevalent on that day and such feelings were reflected on the face of every student of the school.
