As part of St. George's School tradition and its commitment to provide for the overall integral development of its students, the Annual Leadership Training was held on the 10th to the 11th of June 2012 in Holiday Lodge Hotel, Jerudong. The objectives of which are:
1. To develop the camaraderie among the student-leaders of St. George's School
2. To enhance their leadership qualities and skills
3. To analyse the challenges faced by SGS and present a concrete plan of action/activities to address the issues
This year's theme was "BE EXTRA-ORDINARY" in order to motivate the leaders to make a difference in leading their fellow St. Georgians and be effective collaborators of their teachers specifically of The Student Affairs Department.
The topics presented during the training were Leadership and Values, presented by Mr. Anthony Liew, Chairman of the board of Governors. Mr. Simon Tiong of H.E.A.R.T. Volunteer Group, talked about First Aid and Basic Life-saving tips, Discovering Leadership Styles and Self Awareness were discussed by Mr Eugenio V. Mendoza while the Challenges faced by SGS and the Possible Solutions were facilitated by Cikgu Norazaman B Hj Mejenis.
The topics were chosen believing that these would help the Student-Leaders to effectively lead their fellow St. Georgians.
