Since its inception in 2008, the Asian Young Leaders Convention (AYLC) has brought together a unique community of young leaders, aged 15 to 18, who share a commitment to shaping the 21st century global landscape. Participants come from countries in the Asian region.
St.George's School, Bandar Seri Begawan, is proudly represented by 14 of its student leaders and one teacher chaperone. The convention will run from 12 July to 18 July 2012 in Singapore and aims to equip student leaders with Values-Based Leadership skills, to provide a platform for the internationalization of both local and regional young leaders and to provide networking opportunities for local and regional young leaders for future collaborations. Students will also participate in forums on leadership competencies and embark on Experiential Learning Journeys.
On hand to see the student leaders and teacher chaperone off at the Brunei International Airport were the principal, Mr Song Kin Fha and the deputy principal, Mr N.M. Mubarak.
