Year 7 Students' Stopover in an Old Age Home in Seria

80 students and four teachers visited the Old Age home in Seria on 20th September 2014. It was an act of showing kindness and a part of their Social Studies lesson and project. Students have heard and read a lot about the good care of old people on TV and magazines but this painted a much nicer picture than in reality. The students put up a short entertainment, shared gifts and lunch with the inmates of the home. It brought smiles and their faces flushed with happiness. Though these special homes for the elderly provide them the care they need, it is no substitute for one's own home.
