The Kindergarten section of St. George's School held the Canteen Day recently. The objective of the event is to teach students about money; the ability to manage and use it wisely.
This activity allowed them to recap their lessons when they purchase their food and complemented their counting skill in Maths.
Learning about money became fun and exciting because the pupils have the opportunity to manage their spending and understand how purchases are made. It stimulates their critical thinking skills as the students need to identify the items to buy and their prices.
Additionally, the event also helps to prepare the Kindergarten pupils for the transition into the primary section. St. George's School's canteen provides nutritious food and parents' are confident in the quality of food and beverages sold.
