On the sunny morning of 15th June 2019, St. George's School (SGS) held its Hari Raya Celebration within its school compound.
In attendance were members of the School Board of Governors, the School Principal, teachers and students.
In his opening speech, the Principal stated that the school takes great pride in being able to celebrate the occasion and hopes that such festivities will be able to instill a sense of solidarity among its multicultural students.
The celebration then continued on with a number of dance and song performances from primary and kindergarten students before ending with a choir act by the 'Big 6' secondary group. A 'bersalaman' session followed where all students of the school, from kindergarten to secondary, paid respect to the teachers and other guests.
The event ended with food, drinks and music in true Hari Raya fashion.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri has become one of the school's yearly celebration and it can be expected that this joyous tradition will continue for many more years to come.
