It was an exciting Thursday morning on 7 November 2019 for the Kindergarten 3 students of St. George's School as they left school in a bus to visit the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Museum. Accompany them were Head of Kindergarten, Mdm Lily Sim, Teacher Annmarie Liew, Teacher Siti Majeedah bte Ismail, Teacher Nurul Najibah bte Md Ridhwan and some parents.
On arrival, the teachers, parents and students were briefed on the emergency exits of the museum as well as what to expect on the tour around the museum.
Inside the museum, they viewed photographs on the old armed forces, what their uniforms were like at that time and medals that were on display. After that they were taken outside the museum to view a real army tank, a helicopter and a ship that were used during the olden days. The students were also allowed to sit inside the tank and helicopter to get a first hand experience of being in an army vehicle.
This visit was truly a rare and memorable experience for the teachers, parents and students as they had the opportunity to visit the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Museum.
