On 3rd February 2020, St. George's School presented awards to two students for their excellent achievement in sports. Presenting the awards was the Principal, Mr Janidi Jingan. In attendance were the Deputy Principal, Mr NM Mubarak, Head of Secondary, Mdm Chew Lai Kwan, teachers and students.
The two students were Alexander Jacklya bin Dakius of Year 10B and Ahmad Danish bin Jaini of Year 11A. Both students represented Brunei in their respective competitions and won first place.
Alexander Jacklya participated in the 2nd Manuel Veguillas Memorial International Open Karate Cup 2020 in Manila, Philippines. The event was organized by The Association for the Advancement of Karatedo ( AAK ) which took place from the 18th to 20th January 2020. Ahmad Danish took part alongside his football team, Tabuan Muda, or Young Hornets, in the Under 16 Youth League, organized by the NFABD which was held on 19th January 2020.
Congratulations to both students for bringing glory to the school. St. George's School hopes to continue encouraging their students to participate in all extra-curricular competitions.
