St George's School ( SGS ) received a welcomed donation in the form of hand sanitizers from 'Korea Cosmetics BN', a local company based in Bandar Seri Begawan that deals with Korean skin care and body essentials products.
A total of 80 bottles of 500ml SOME BY MI hand sanitizers ( worth about BND 1,440 ) were presented to Mr Janidi Jingan, Principal of SGS, on May 2, 2020 by Korea Cosmetics BN which was represented by Ms Emily Nin, an alumna of St George's School ( 1998 - 2002 ). Apart from the 500ml bottles, the same company also gave a 50ml tube of SOME BY MI hand sanitizer to each of the SGS staff members through the staff welfare committee. These hand sanitizers are suitable for those with sensitive skin and have been approved by both the Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) and Brunei Ministry of Health (MOH).
The donation is part of their business social responsibility to assist schools around the capital in curbing the spread of COVID-19. The hand sanitizers will be distributed equally among the classes when school reopens on June 2, 2020. St George's School would like to thank Korea Cosmetics BN for their generosity in helping the school fight against the virus during this difficult period.
