On 6th May 2020, a very generous donation was made towards St. George's School by BR Trading Company Sdn Bhd, a local company based in the capital. The company chose to distribute items to 9 schools, of which St. George's School is one.
A total of 2000 pieces of disposable face masks and 36 bottles of 300ml Yinba antibacterial disposable gel were presented to Mr. Janidi Jingan, Principal of the school, by Dk Hjh Rasidah Pg Hj Mohd Salleh, one of the directors of BR Trading Company Sdn Bhd. The company also contributed three Narutron LED TV 32" and three Narutron Stand Fans. The television sets will be placed around the school premises in order to display students' progress and to keep parents updated on news or information related to the school. The masks will also be distributed to the students once school reopens for the third term on June 2, 2020, whereas the antibacterial gel dispensers will be placed in classrooms for students and teachers to apply upon entry into classrooms.
This donation is part of the business' social responsibility initiative carried out by BR Trading Company Sdn Bhd to aid schools around the capital with items necessary to combat COVID-19, as well as to equip schools with additional resources in their quest to explore the best online learning strategies. St. George's School extends a note of thanks to BR Trading Company Sdn Bhd for their generosity which will help the school during these unprecedented times.
