Monday, 21st November 2022 - St. George's School's Kindergarten section held its Kindergarten Open Day for the section's newly enrolled students for the Academic Year 2023. The event took place in the Kindergarten 2 & 3 classrooms.
The objective of the event was to allow parents and guardians a taste of a day in the life of a Little St. Georgian enrolled with the school. The kindergarten section assures a safe learning and play environment for all students.
Prior to the start of the event, parents and guardians were briefed by the Kindergarten Head of Department, Madam Lily Sim. Following that, classroom activities were conducted where the children were able to learn through play from the varieties of toys set up. The future kindergarteners then had their snack time together.
The children were then seated in groups for a few lesson activities set up by the teachers. These activities included Phonics Alphabet Scooping, Bacaan Rainbow Rice Sensory Writing, an English storytelling session, Maths Magnetic Fishing and Science Colour Mixing.
The end of the day saw the little tots waving thankful goodbyes to teachers for an exciting school day experience.
