The welfare of the orphans at this school continues to be given attention with financial aid to lighten their burden, especially during the month of Ramadhan and in their preparation of the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration in a few more days. The ceremony started with a prayer recital by Ustaz Mohidin bin Haji Momin, Head of IRK Department (Primary Section).
The event was held on 11 April 2023 at the school’s Library. A total of 13 orphans received donations from the school. The donations were the collective effort of parents, teachers and students in the school community. In the hopes of sharing Ramadhan blessings, the donation drive is part of the school's annual activity that aims to foster love, help those in need and to educate students by instilling compassion for their less fortunate friends.
During the event, the donations were handed over to the students by the principal, Mr. Janidi Jingan. In his speech, he expressed his appreciation to the parents, teachers and students for their support and care for the orphans in St. George’s School.
