During the school ‘s ICT week competition, held from August 12th to August 17th, students from Year 1 to Year 5 participated in various engaging activities.
In Year 1, students participated in a drawing competition using MS. Paint and Paint 3D. The Year 2 students took part in a typing competition skill and inserted images to the document using Microsoft Word to showcase their keyboard skills. For year 3, the focus was on practical application as students created a spreadsheet document using Microsoft Excel, calculating expenses for a ‘shopping list’.
Year 4 students embraced design by competing in an A4 poster by contest centered around the theme of ‘Water Pollution.’ They used tools like GIMP and Online Photoshop ( Photopea ) to express their ideas visually. Lastly, in Year 5, students leveraged their creativity on to craft short movies or slides using video editing tools with the theme being ’My School’.
All students enthusiastically participated in the ICT week competition, following the school’s regular computer class schedule. The competition aimed to foster digital skills and creativity among students. After the second term break, the top three winners from each level will be rewarded prizes recognition on their accomplishments.
