St. George's School is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking addition to our learning facilities: a 3D printer! This cutting-edge technology will be incorporated into engaging workshops designed to ignite student interest and creativity.
The initiative to bring 3D printing into our classrooms stemmed from the vision of Mr. Aywen Chak, our Head of Secondary Section. With the enthusiastic support of the ICT Department, Mr. Chak proposed the integration of 3D printing, recognizing its potential to enhance the learning experience.
To ensure a smooth implementation, the 3D printer was supplied by Tiga D Lab, a trusted provider in 3D printing solutions. Our faculty received comprehensive training on operating and maintaining the machine, preparing them to lead the exciting 3D printing workshops.
We were honored to have the presence of our esteemed School Chairman and Board of Governor, Mr. Anthony Liew, who not only championed this initiative but also personally oversaw the 3D printer setup. Joining him were Mr. Janidi Jingan, our esteemed School Principal, along with the Deputy Principal, Secondary Art Teacher, and the ICT Department Team.
This collaborative effort underscores St. George's School's commitment to providing students with a dynamic and innovative learning environment. The 3D printing workshops promise to be a valuable learning experience, allowing students to explore design concepts, hone problem-solving skills, and delve into the exciting possibilities of 3D technology.
Stay tuned for further updates on the launch of our 3D printing workshops!
