On Tuesday, 24th of September, 2024, St. George’s School held their 34th Annual Teacher’s Day Celebration. The program was organized by the Student Affairs led by Tr. Apiza and Tr. Sheeba and most of the preparation was done by the secondary student body.
The teachers and students gathered in the parish hall in order to celebrate the event. The stage was decorated nicely with flowers, greenery and balloons. The program started at 8 a.m. with the national anthem and prayers. The Principal of the school, Mr. Janidi Jingan presided over the function. After moving to the podium, the Principal gave a valuable and
inspirational speech to the students about the impact teachers have on future generations. The message about how valuable teachers are was made clear to everyone.
After were a few performances, each done by different classes. There were also some games in between for the teachers to enjoy! Following that, there was a gift ceremony for our teachers. The event in the parish hall ended with a group photo.
Teachers and students then went to their respective classes to celebrate as a class. The event ended at 11:30 a.m. Overall, it was an enjoyable event for both teachers and students alike, leaving everyone satisfied with a pleasant experience.
