Following the icebreaking game, five of the students, namely Sdynee and Hayder from Year 3, Ezabelle and Bismah from Year 2, and Saanchi from Year 1 participated in a lively storytelling session. Students were captivated by tales of adventure and fantasy. This activity not only encouraged listening skills but also inspired young minds to think creatively and express themselves confidently. In addition, a yoga storytelling session was also introduced to the Year 1 group on the second day of the event. The yoga storytelling session encouraged the students to regulate their emotions through movement, which allowed them to enjoy the story more.
One of the highlights of the day was the Cupcake-making Activity. Students donned their aprons and chef hats, ready to mix, bake, and decorate their cupcakes. This hands-on activity was a delightful way to practice following instructions and using descriptive language to talk about their creations. The sweet aroma of freshly baked cupcakes filled the air, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The Language Fun Day was a resounding success, sprinkling the students with fond memories and a renewed love for language learning. It was a perfect blend of fun and education, demonstrating that learning can be an enjoyable adventure.
