St. George’s School is committed to helping the orphans in this school. The donation handover ceremony was held on March 8th in the school’s library. The ceremony was attended by Principal Janidi Jingan, the Deputy Principal, teachers, parents, and donation recipients. It began with the Recitation of the Selamat Prayer by Ustaz Mohidin Momin, Head of the Islamic Religious Department.
In his welcoming speech, Principal Janidi Jingan stated that the donation drive was one of the school's initiatives to inculcate and encourage students to foster a culture of empathy and generosity. He emphasized the importance of teaching students the value of compassion and giving back to the community, particularly toward their less fortunate schoolmates.
The principal also expressed the school's gratitude for the collective effort from parents, teachers, and students, which reflects a strong sense of unity and kindness. A total of 17 students from Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary levels received the donations.
The school hopes that these donations will cheer them up, particularly during the upcoming Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration.
