
On 27th May 2025 — St. George’s School is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our Year 11 students from the Class of 2024, who were honoured today at the prestigious Student Excellence Award Ceremony organized by the Ministry of Education. The event took place at the Dewan Canselor, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and was graced by the presence of Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education, as the Chief Guest.
The ceremony recognized students across the nation for their academic excellence and dedication. Representing St. George’s School with distinction, three of our students received the Cambridge Outstanding Achiever Awards (COAA) for their exceptional performance in the Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations:
🏅 Jed Ng Xiang Zhe — First Place in Brunei and awarded Best Across Seven Subjects.
🏅 Tan Zheng Yan — Ranked Fourth in the (Top 10 in the World) for Computer Science.
🏅Mohammad Daffa Dany bin Abdullah Ali Hussin — Ranked Seventh in the (Top 10 in the World) for Computer Science.
Our school principal, Mr. Janidi Jingan, was proudly present at the ceremony to witness these proud moments as our students received their awards. His presence underscored the school’s commitment to academic excellence and the nurturing of future leaders.
These accolades are a testament to the students’ hard work, the dedication of their teachers, and the unwavering support of their families. The entire St. George’s School community celebrates this milestone and extends heartfelt congratulations to Jed, Tan, and Daffa for their outstanding accomplishments.
