Laughter and excitement filled the school compound this afternoon as kindergarten and primary students took part in the St. Georges School 36th Annual Kindergarten and Primary Novelty Games. Held from 2.00pm to 4.30pm at the school compound, the event brought together students, teachers, and parents for an energetic afternoon of creative games and cheerful competition.

In his welcoming speech, Principal Janidi Jingan highlighted how novelty games are not only about having fun, but they also nurture coordination, teamwork, confidence and joy among students. He also reminded the students to give their best and cherish the memories they would make throughout the games. The kindergarten games immediately kicked off following the speech, with the excited young-ins braving the heat to complete classic favourites like “Cup Stacking”, “Ping Pong Obstacle”, “Marble Relay” and other fun games. Parents also lent their hands to their little ones, assisting them in their journeys to the finish line.

Once the kindergarten games were finished, the enthusiastic primary students took over the compound and joined the fray with games such as “Obstacle Race”, “Egg and Spoon Relay”, “Ring the Cones” and many others. Parents were also able to have their fun in the sun, playing the “Bottle and Straw” game as well as the “Elastic Women” game. Prizes were presented by guest of honour Anthony Liew, Principal Janidi Jingan as well as Deputy Principal N.M. Mubarak after each game concluded.

The novelty games were not only a chance for students to play and enjoy themselves, but also an opportunity to strengthen teamwork, coordination and school spirit. Teachers guided the activities while parents cheered from the sidelines, creating a lively and supportive atmosphere. The event concluded with the awarding of the overall champion house – The Red House. It was a memorable afternoon celebrating fun, friendship, and learning through play.
