St. George's School is proud to announce that nineteen students, accompanied by three teachers, will be visiting Kanto Gakuin Mutsuura Junior-Senior High School in Yokohama, Japan, from 13 to 20 July 2025. This visit is part of our ongoing student exchange program and serves as a reciprocal engagement following the 2024 visit by students and teachers from Kanto Gakuin to Brunei.
Objectives of the Visit:
· Strengthen international relations and foster enduring ties between the two schools
· Provide students with exposure to different educational systems
· Deepen students’ understanding of Japanese culture and lifestyle
· Offer hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom
· Cultivate values of tolerance, openness, and appreciation for cultural diversity
A highlight of the program will be the students' stay with Japanese host families, offering immersive cultural experiences and meaningful personal connections.
Beyond school-based activities, the delegation will also pay a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Tokyo. The itinerary includes excursions to notable historical and cultural landmarks in Yokohama and Tokyo, such as the Nissan Headquarters and the Mitsubishi Minatomirai Industrial Museum.
This enriching experience promises to broaden horizons, build friendships, and inspire global citizenship among our students.
