This November, our Year 9 and 10 students embarked on two memorable educational journeys to the UBD Botanical Research Centre (BRC), offering an exciting blend of cultural immersion, ecological exploration, and hands-on learning.
Year 9 students visited on November 4th, exploring plant and rock species, research facilities, and the stingless bee enclosure before enjoying refreshments and a cultural exhibition at the UBD Pro Chancellor Arts Centre. The trip deepened their understanding of conservation and Bruneian heritage.
Year 10 students’ visits followed on November 4th and 6th. Their experience included cultural performances, greenhouse and garden tours, honey tasting, and a hike through the Kerangas forest. They also participated in a practical plant propagation session and an engaging quiz.
Both trips offered students valuable insights into environmental science, research, and culture, making the experiences educational and memorable.
