We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of our student, Abel Wee Yuen Lim, who represented Brunei Darussalam as part of the Majlis Sukan Sekolah-Sekolah Brunei Darussalam (MS SSBD) contingent at the 14th ASEAN Schools Games (ASG 2025) and won a Gold Medal in the Boys’ 1st International Routine Nanquan+Nangun (Wushu) event.

In recognition of the achievements of student-athletes at the Games, the Ministry of Education, through the Co-Curriculum Education Department, organised the Majlis Penyampaian Insentif Kecemerlangan Sukan (IKS) on 12 January 2026 at the Main Hall, Ministry of Education. The ceremony honoured members of the MS SSBD contingent for their commendable performances.

Guest of Honour, Her Excellency Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Minister of Education, presented certificates and incentives to the successful athletes.

The 14th ASEAN Schools Games, held in Brunei Darussalam from 20 to 28 November 2025, marked a historic milestone for the national schools contingent, achieving its highest medal tally to date with 4 gold, 4 silver and 10 bronze medals.

Abel’s gold medal represents yet another remarkable success, reflecting his consistent excellence, dedication and perseverance. We congratulate Abel on his outstanding achievement and commend him for bringing pride and honour to our school and to Brunei Darussalam.
