Dear Parents and Students,
The COVID-19 pandemic brought many hardships, life lessons, and sacrifices to everyone in Brunei and other parts of the world. These were no doubt challenging and frightening times. And yet, we pulled together as a school community and persevered through adversity in embracing the 'new normal'. We are grateful for the overwhelming support, cooperation, encouragement, patience, and understanding from parents during these challenging times.
The lifting of international travel restrictions in September this year has allowed us to now travel outside of Brunei, particularly during this long school holiday. We wish that you all have a safe and enjoyable holiday with your family. Stay safe, stay healthy, and take care.
May you have a Happy New Year, and we look forward to meeting you in the year 2023!
St. George’s School was happy to receive close to 14 ex-St Georgians from the Class of 1972 on 7th December 2022. It was the fifty-year reunion. The alumni of '72 has met every 10 years since their graduation.
They were welcomed by the principal, Mr. Janidi Jingan. The visit started with a briefing by the principal, with a focus on the progress and achievements of the school in the last 10 years. The principal then gave a video presentation of the school’s 80th Anniversary celebration which was held in 2017.
The ex-students also viewed a slideshow presented by Mr. Weng Chong who currently resides in Singapore. The presentation rekindle many memories of their school’s years at St. George’s School. They had a wonderful time together reminiscing about the past, and were impressed with the development and progress that the school has made in the past 50 years.
They were then taken for a tour around the school by the principal, which was followed by a photo session. Breakfast was served at the school canteen courtesy of the organiser of the reunion, Mr. Peter Chong, who is also a Class of 1972 alumni.
The principal also took the opportunity to ask the alumni to attend the school’s 90th Anniversary Celebration, which will be commemorated in 2027.
St. George's School wishes good health and the very best to the Class of '72, and would like to thank the St. Georgians for the visit. Once a St. Georgian, always a St. Georgian!

On 12 November, our Year 1 and Year 2 had a Fun Day at the school compound. The purpose of this Fun Day is to enrich the bond between students and teachers through play, as well as to wrap up the school year with laughters and happy memories.
With the respective Year 1 class teachers, Teacher Rosemary, Cikgu Hasimah, Teacher Liza and our PE teacher, Teacher Sheeba, the students played two challenging games; ring toss and throw a ball into a basket.
In English period, our Year 1A students enjoyed a game of word bingo with Teacher Atiqah. After a round of word bingo, the students put their visual skill to test with a game of word shuffle. Similarly, the Year 1B played bingo with Teacher Hannah.
In Bahasa Melayu period, Cikgu Selomi and Cikgu Latipah encouraged the Year 2A and 2B students to showcase their artistic talents with a colouring contest.
After the class activities, our students jumped with joy on the bouncers that were set up at the KG playground. From the school management and teachers, it was heartwarming to see our little St Georgians learning through play after a year of transitioning from online learning to face-to-face learning.
