On the morning of 27 November, 2024, St. George's School celebrated its Graduation Ceremony for KG3, Year 6 and Year 11 students. Held at Dewan Persidangan Utama, ICC, the event was a celebration of hard work, determination and the exciting journey ahead.
The event began at 8:00 a.m. with the arrival of the guest of honor, Major Shree Prasad Bura, Commanding Support Unit, Gurkha Reserve Unit. To welcome him were Mr. Janidi Jingan, School Principal, Mr. N. M. Mubarak, Deputy principal and other members of staff.
At his welcoming address, the Principal took the opportunity to praise the resilience and accomplishments of the graduating students. "There were difficulties, joys and sadness. The celebrations and the disappointments. Yet, you had the strength to face each day with a positive and graceful attitude," he commended, before concluding with a reminder that the end of a chapter is but the start of something greater.
Dance performances added a celebratory touch to the day, with performances from every level including kindergarten, primary and secondary. Then, the main event, the procession of graduating students, each donning caps and gowns. Applause of family and friends fill the hall as each student took turns in the spotlight, trouping up the stage to receive their hard-earned certificates.
The event concluded with speeches from Primary and Secondary Head Boys and Girls and representatives from KG3 before ending in a riveting song performance by all graduands. Photo-taking sessions and refreshments provided the perfect finale to a day of celebration. The graduates left with a mixture of nostalgia and anticipation, ready to embrace new adventures while cherishing the lasting bonds formed at St. George's School.
